Program
Golf Pilates
TPI-Based Scientific Swing Training
A golf swing is not a matter of technique — it's a matter of physical capability. Based on TPI Golf Level 1 certification and KPGA conference presentation experience, this program diagnoses golfers' physical limitations and corrects them through Pilates.
Who Is This For
- Golfers seeking more consistent swings
- Those with post-round back or shoulder pain
- Players wanting to increase driving distance
- Anyone looking to prevent golf-related injuries
Curriculum
Phase 1 — Assessment & Understanding
Deep understanding of golf mechanics, body planes and axes, and functional anatomy. Building the foundation of swing performance through anatomical understanding of shoulder and hip rotation.
Phase 2 — Functional Training
Injury risk analysis and prevention strategies. Exploring the connection between Pilates and golf training. Designing personalized solutions through movement and functional assessment.
Phase 3 — Integration
Enhancing golfer stability and flexibility through Pilates to maximize golf performance. Developing the ability to apply differentiated approaches based on golf culture and demand.
| Phase | Content | Goal |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Golf mechanics + functional anatomy | Understand swing structure |
| 2 | Shoulder/hip rotation analysis | Correct key movement patterns |
| 3 | Injury risk assessment + prevention | Build a safe swing |
| 4 | Pilates-based functional training | Improve stability & flexibility |
| 5 | Personalized programming | Maximize performance |
Expected Results
Swing Stability — Build consistent swing mechanics through core and pelvic stabilization.
Injury Prevention — Golf-specific dynamic stretching and strengthening to prevent back, shoulder, and elbow injuries.
Increased Distance — Flexibility training that maximizes shoulder-hip separation (X-factor) for greater power.
Science-Based Approach — Systematic program based on TPI assessment protocols and biomechanical analysis.
